FFXIV truly is such a classic textbook MMO, and I've always loved MMO. I can tell the contents will definitely filter out the players with the back & forth and thousands SQ but my gosh. The game does a great job at world-building and community-building. Right off bat, it does feel, real if that make sense. It's a very established world and I can't wait to dwell deeper into it.
I am still at the very beginning of ARR so I will log in thoughts again once I progressed further.
